The Company

Axis Partnership has been established since 1997 specialising in the sale of Small to Medium business across the UK. Over time the company has grown by its reputation and client base thus creating the need for employing new staff and having to relocate the business to larger premises.

Axis Partnership as a business deals with over £20,000,000 of transaction values each year, handling the whole process for it’s clients from the initial current market valuation, confidential marketing, and negotiations through to completion.

Axis has dedicated teams that deal with each part of the process. This gives the client comfort that they are dealing with a professional business with the necessary know-how and with its finger on the pulse for today’s market values to maximise the sale price.

The Challenge

Back in 2006, Axis was based in a location that was not fit for purpose on a number of counts. The company had grown to the point where they needed to move to larger premises to enable further expansion of the business. At the time, they were in rented premises and were actively searching for alternatives. Their comms equipment was rented so they were not able to take it with them. They were also on uncompetitive rates for line rental and call charges.

A year later, alternative premises had been located. This was a new build empty shell and needed the installation of incoming telephone lines and internal cabling infrastructure before they could move in. To complicate matters, no installation work could be done inside the premises until the contract of sale had been signed. However once this was signed, the installation had to be done very quickly so as to avoid unnecessary costs due to delays with the relocation.

At this time Axis started working with Beyond Telecoms to assist with making the move to the new premises as smooth and trouble free as possible.

The Approach

After an initial meeting to understand their plans and requirements, Beyond Telecoms undertook a project to achieve the following objectives.

a) To research the market and source a phone system for the new premises which would meet their existing and future requirements

b) To put together a proposal making recommendations about options for line types and to minimise their call and line rental costs

c) To project manage the installation of phone lines, internal power & cat 5e cabling infrastructure and telecoms hardware at their new premises.

Beyond Telecoms gathered separate quotes and went through each of these in detail to ensure it was priced competitively and fully reflected Axis requirements. This process included the raising of any queries with the suppliers concerned. Finally, Beyond Telecoms then made a recommendation as to which system would best meet Axis needs, based on price, features and after sales service.

The Benefits

Working with Beyond Telecoms saved Axis many hours time in sourcing a new phone system and helped them avoid the pitfalls of trying to choose a system on their own.

Beyond Telecoms’ proposal for calls and line rental service provision gave Axis rates which were around 50% lower than they had been in their rented premises.

The project management of the installation of lines and cabling saved Axis time in dealing with all these matters themselves. The build up to the move of premises was an extremely hectic time for Axis and the work that Beyond Telecoms undertook overseeing this installation helped reduce Axis’ work load.
